What is the AU Change of Registrant (CoR) process?

What is the AU Change of Registrant (CoR) process?

Please note that a Change of Registrant comes at a cost to the value of how many years you wish to hold the registration for. If there are a whole number of years (1 year, 11 months = 1 year) left on the existing term of the Domain Name, then those years will be passed on to the new Registrant. This means that the expiry date will be changed to 1 year from date the CoR is completed plus any whole years that were remaining.

In the event you or one of your customers needs to update the Registrant of an AU domain name, that is the ABN/ACN/or other eligibility type, then a Change of Registrant (CoR) will need to be completed. To initiate a Change of Registrant, please follow these steps:

  1. Login to your Website.
  2. Under Domain Names menu search for your domain name.
  3. Click on the domain name and select the Initiate CoR option.
  4. Read the information it presents you and follow the prompts.

If the ABN/ACN associated with your domain name is invalid or has been cancelled, you may not be able to initiate a Change of Registrant through Website. In such cases, a Manual Change of Registrant (CoR) is required.
